Dvanda Yoga (General Method)

Shortcut GENERAL method to find a square of a number.

Dvanda Yoga shortcut to square a number

English Meaning:

Duplex Combination Process of Vedic Mathematics.

Stuff to be known before starting:

Before starting the trick to find square of a number using DvandaYoga of Vedic Mathematics, understanding of below concept is required.

Urdhva Tiryak Method.

Specific Condition Required:

Need to know how to calculate duplex of even and odd numbers. It is denoted by D. (See Below how to find Duplex)

  • D(3) = 32 = 9
    D(43) = 2x4x3 = 24
    D(567) = 2x5x7 + 62 = 70 + 36 = 106
    D(3456) = 2x3x6 + 2x4x5 = 36 + 40 = 76
    D(34567) = 2x3x7 + 2x4x6 + 52 = 42 + 48 + 25 = 115
    And so on
